Any possible interest in subbing the 90s series 楽しいムーミン一家 (The Moomins)? As far as I know, only about 14 of the 104 episodes of this wonderful anime have ever been fansubbed in English, and the ones that have were not done very well. Reasonably good quality raws are available via torrent; if the torrent has died, I have copies.

Picking up Tanoshii Moomin Ikka was a great choice. I think that the wonderful classics that many of us have seen and enjoyed in childhood are definitely the way to go. For your next projects I would suggest Taiyou no Ko Esteban (aka Mysterious Cities of Gold, 39 eps) and Uchuu Densetsu Ulysses 31 (26 eps + pilot). Both series are available in English dub, but I think it'd be great to watch them in their original versions. As for the raws... I don't think the torrents on nyaa are alive anymore, but I'm sure you'd be able to find them somewhere eventually , since they're both fairly popular series...

Thanks again for being willing to work on this. I'm especially looking forward to seeing your subs for the episodes from 15 and on, since I have never found subs except for the first 14, and my listening comprehension is still pretty weak. But I am very grateful for whatever episodes you do get around to.

The only completed releases that exists, are a Hungarian dub and an English dub. The English dub is a low-quality TV-rip, with many of the episodes missing some sequences.
On Nyaa, there's a torrent with all the episodes (in full) with the original Japanese audio, ripped from DVDs (640x480).

There is an series that I knew about growing up when I was in Japan [yay untranslated manga!], but never got a chance to watch. It's from 1990 and no one has translated it.

Something a bit darker than Moomin, but way shorter. Underrated series following the adventures of a cute group of mice as they sail around and try to thwart a murderous white weasel. Cute but surprisingly bleak. 26 episodes. There's a CG reboot in the works but it looks awful. Rare opportunity to expose the English speaking world to a hidden gem.

Heres another vote for completing Tanoshii Moomin Ikka. The sudden spike in popularity for Moomins recently makes this the best time to drum up support for work towards a complete show sub.
