I enjoyed watching the special, so I translated&etc'd it so that others can watch it too. d'awwwww I'm so thoughtful and kind, kyaha-!! <333333
On a ~more~ serious note, a few days ago a week ago, I read the preview portion of Ginga no World Cup from BookLive. I was thinking of buying the full e-book, but I thought I'd rather have a hard copy, so I'll buy that instead... someday.
For those of you who don't know, Ginga e Kickoff is based on a novel entitled Ginga no World Cup by Kawabata Hiroto. I don't know if this is true for the entire novel, but for the beginning, it was written in Hanashima's point of view. So far, this made the feel of the novel really different from the anime. I've only read a few pages :(, but I think it can be pretty interesting to see a similar story unfold with Hanashima's thoughts being the main commentary throughout (with his sort-of-depression and all).
One interesting point is the part titles being in Spanish (I think it was Spanish... though they were written in katakana). First was Japan Cup, then World Cup, then Galactic Cup, and last was Universal Cup. I thought it was cute. Tehe~
Another one is that the book begins with the word "nejikure", which is the word they use in the anime for Ryuuji's and Hanashima's personalities back when the own goal issue was still unresolved. In the book's opening, though, the word is part of a description for a cherry blossom tree, not personalities. Here is a quick, kind of liberal translation:
Twisting and splitting finely throughout, though it could normally only be seen as squalid, just once a year, this cherry blossom tree gathers up its energy as it stands on the stage of spring. On the tips of its many branches are buds filled to the verge of blooming.
Anyway, I just wanted to rant about it because I really like GeK. Oh, and there's another book entitled "Kaze no Dandelion -Ginga no World Cup Girls-". I haven't taken a look at it though. Figured I should read it after Ginga no World Cup anyway...
On a fansubbing note, as mentioned in the last Moomin release post, we won't be continuing with Ginga for now. We're glad people wanted us to continue d'awww <333 ~*sparkling tears*~ sparklesparklesparklekirakira~ ...but it was really done for personal purposes at first, so... yeah. We still have Moomin...and stuff...and we have our limits. :(
Also, I really do prefer subbing unsubbed shows. It's a better waste use of time and energy. More efficient! 8D If ever the "need" arises though, REIKA just might come flying into the sunset once again, if she suddenly feels like it~
Yes~ That's life! Nothing's sure. Nothing makes sense.
There are only chickens and a SONY. ʅ(‾◡◝)ʃ
Happy holidays, everyone!
OH. I almost forgot. There's a player on Nadeshiko who kinda' looks like Ginga e Kickoff's Shimizu Misaki. You can see her in this special with her hair tied. Coincidence? Who knows? Maybe Google does, but I didn't guguru enough to find out.
ALSO, Penalty is the name of Hide's comedy duo. I read on wiki that he used to play soccer when he was still in school and that he was scouted by some J-League team but that he chose to be a comedian instead. Happy life~ \( ‾◡◝ )/

Thank you again for the episodes you have already translated... and for any possible episodes future tl :p .
But they've released 24 already and 25 just aired (yesterday?). So technically, they're not behind ;)
