Stinky doesn't exist in the Tove Jansson books; the people who adapted the books must have felt that a "bad guy" was needed. In my opinion, everything that happens in the anime involving Stinky is poorly written, and untrue to the spirit of the books.

I hope you will do the last 26 episodes plus the additonal 26 episodes of the second season too, sinde they were never dubbed and released in Germany :(
