Aaand, if it matters (probably not), here's what happened:
plans to sub fuse → funds run out → lets seedbox die → let's just pay again when we finish fuse → lazylazylazylazy → lazylazylazylazylazylazylazylazy → lazylazylazylazy → not going anywhere → rediscovers nerawareta gakuen → starts TL → it gets subbed the day after → drops it → subs for fuse comes out → yay we can drop it! → decides to finally go back to moomin → oh hey, tamayura → is someone gonna sub this? → maybe not? → finishes TL → sees it subbed → well, it's almost done so.... → BUSYOMG → releases tamayura

Moomin:
Not dropped. Might be able to TL an ep early next week.
Funds:
For now, we probably won't pay for a seedbox, but if someone donates, then we'll use that. We only *really* need it for bigger files, but it's also convenient to have one even when you don't actually need it.... So donations are always welcome. :D

I like Tamayura, too, but it is being done by UTW (in cooperation with FFF), so I expect that it will be done quite well. No one else can replace you when it comes to Tanoshii Moomin Ikka, however. :-)
I don't mind leaving my seedbox to run your shit for a while, but you're gonna have to contact me on IRC or something when you release the episodes because I won't remember otherwise.

Just compared your subs with FTW and Nishi-Taku and reckon yours is the best one in terms of accuracy (you tend to keep more of the details in and translation is more straight). Although you may not be concerned with how you compare with other groups. Just my observation.

I was intrigued by the comment above, so I decided to compare the COOL and FTW translations. For the sentences I compared, I thought both groups made very nice translation choices-- well above the level of many commercially translated subtitles. If "straight" means literal, I think both groups avoided overly literal translations when they would have been unnatural; I don't see any pattern to which translations were "more straight". I am grateful that there are talented people in both groups who are willing to donate their time for the benefit of all of us who watch anime with your subtitles.
Got any more Moomin lined up?
I've made a bad translation of episode 17 by doing a machine translation from the Russian subs to English, and then touching up the results while listening to the Japanese audio. Is there any way you could make the subtitle file accessible to people who visit your site, clearly labeling it as a substandard translation which you had nothing to do with the creation of, so that people will have something to watch (assuming that there are still live torrents for the raws) while they are waiting for more releases from you? If several people download this bad subtitle file and want more, I can do the same for some more episodes.
You are right in this, don’t benefit from a file translation, only the timing, I hope that the day will come , see this anime in complete from you

You're free to comment anywhere on the site and link your releases so people who come here can find them, if you want.
At this point, we'll probably be releasing more steadily again, but we can still mention you in the next/current Moomin release post if you still plan to continue releasing. It would probably be better if you can provide a single link where people can find your releases (like, perhaps, by creating an account on nyaa) since we don't check/update the site a lot so we can announce your link once and it can stand on its own even when mrkuuru and I are off in another universe. ;D
